Our "Safe Bet" project, a collaborative initiative with Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Amsterdam, has been awarded a large grant from the International Centre for Responsible Gaming (ICRG). The project aims to transform online responsible gambling by developing and evaluating new tools and in-play messages tailored to individual players' risk levels and gambling behaviour patterns.
The "Safe Bet" Proof of Concept is set to launch on 3 June with Holland Casino and 1 July with Sun Vegas, marking a significant milestone in our efforts to promote safer gambling practices. This project relies on the invaluable contribution of numerous colleagues across different teams globally, whose dedication and hard work have been instrumental in bringing "Safe Bet" to this critical stage.
We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the UNLV International Gaming Institute to conduct research on the use of Artificial Intelligence in responsible gambling initiatives, furthering our commitment to innovation and player protection.
Our latest industry briefing, which analyses the impact of self-tests on player behaviour, has been published on the Playtech website. It provides valuable insights into the gambling industry.
BetBuddy 3.0, the new version of our responsible gambling solution, is currently in the demo stage, with a focus on tracking and evaluating the effectiveness of responsible gambling interactions with players. Initial client feedback has been positive.
We have presented BetBuddy at two major trade events in the US: the "Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention" and the "SBC Summit North America 2024". Several US brands are set to be onboarded during 2024, expanding our reach and impact in the responsible gambling space.
